Well the year is coming to an end very quickly and the club has shut down for our Christmas break.
It has been a great year for the club with some big plans for 2024 as we celebrate our 30th birthday.
As well as the clubs 30th birthday we will be co-hosting the 4wd Qld Corroboree in October which, although a big challenge, is a great honour for the club.
2024 Events
We have started organising our trip calendar for the year ahead and will have many fo the trips planned by our February meeting.
We will kick off the year with our Aussie Day BBQ down at Golden Beach.
In February, we have a Training weekend for new financial members with our Driver Awarenes Program (DAP) and also our Winch Recovery Course, both designed to give new members knowledge on how trips and recoveries are done in a safe manner.
In February we will be again catching up with the Gold Coast Club at Woodford Showgrounds as we continue our reckons in preparation for the 4wd Qld Corroboree
March the club will be hosting our 3rd Annual Teewah Beach Cleanup weekend with members from other 4wd Qld clubs attending so should be another successful event. Club visitors are welcome to attend, please register on our event page.
In April we are looking to head to Bluff Creek Camping Ground at Kenilworth. This is a great spot on the Mary River.
May will see the club head to Fraser for the 23rd annual cleanup. Registration is open now for this financial members only event not to be missed. www.kgaricleanup.au
Keep an eye on our events page. There will be plenty of camp trips booked in and, we will have our day drives available soon

The Club will celebrate its 30th Birthday in July and on the weekend we will also have our first Club Trophy day. On every trip members are allocated points for their participation with extra points for leading trips, trip reports etc.

Thank you to all our club volunteers who have helped to keep the club running and put on all the events this year. Your efforts are appreciated indeed.
Finally i would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you all again in 2024
